Ageing is a fact of life but no one said I had to look my age...

I'm all for ageing.

I mean it's not like I have a choice but I don't mind it. I don't want to stay stuck one age forever. However, the goal is to age gracefully. To look better, feel better, do better, earn better and most importantly, to be an inspiration to someone to do the same.

I just don't want to look my age! Where's the fun in that?

Ageing has been discovered to start as early as the mid to late twenties. By then, production of proteins that strengthen your skin start to slow down so your skin becomes more fragile and vulnerable to external stress like sun and pollution. Your skin gets drier, it stops shedding dead cells as fast. These, with time, leave you with dull skin, fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, sagging, etc.

The good news is all these account for about 30% of the ageing process. 70% is dependent on lifestyle so basically, YOU decide how fast you age. You can choose to be like Angela Bassett and be absolutely fab at 60 or just be an okay 60 year old, where it's like "I'm sha alive". The choice is yours.

I'm not even going to ask what you went with.

Angela Bassett, like every other #goal takes work and consistency so we'll get into that next. Be sure to be on the look out for the next post, where we discuss the fun stuff—the work.

Till next time.
